Funny... but I like Aero. Not all aspects of it... I rarely use Flip-3D, but I do like the preview windows that pop when one hovers the mouse pointer I think it's a matter of personal judgement. Some people - whose technical opinion I highly respect - tell me they love Aero, and consider it a compelling feature.

I bought a Aero 1550 a few weeks ago. The Aero 1550 is the monochrome version to its color cousin, the Aero 2100. I like the Aero 1550 because it is the slimmest of all the (eg 32 mb, 64 mb, 128 mb, 256 mb...) the reason why I am asking is because my digital camera will not accept up to a 32 mb Smartmedia card.

I see others have posted links to Aero minimum reqs.. so... Assuming you have a WDDM video driver... I had one of the Vista betas installed on a laptop with 512MB RAM and 64MB Video RAM (I think it was 32MB dedicated and 32MB shared system RAM) and I got Aero working with a combo of reg hacks and cmd line commands.
